This rolling course is carved out of North Carolina farmland and is very wooded. Water comes into play on nine holes. Locals say that the layout gets more difficult with each hole, and the round culminates with a challenging hole on #18, a 567-yard, par 5. The fairway doglegs to the left and you must lay up between a creek on the left side, or chance cutting to the corner to reach the green in two. The green is protected by a creek and rock formations that lie in front.
